samsung lite apps ?

Hey folks , small problem with the only 2 lite apps I've tried on my I900 which are Calender and Jinbox (sms program) I like em both but calendar doesnt get called upon by default when I hit the desktop icon and more important than that , when I install Jinbox to replace messenger it doesnt get called upon by default and more important , after a while I can no longer receive incoming sms messages . After I uninstall it I can receive them again with the standard sms program but as we all know , that program sucks.

Anyone else having similar problems and possibly some answers
