Updating to latest MCR

I wanted to know what features I will loose if I update the HTC non-rooted ROM to a MCR?

You don't lose anything.

Nothing is lost. Massive amounts added either through MCR, or a custom recovery image which you'll need as part of the process. MCR is pretty much how the Hero should have been out of the box.
