Guest TheDrizzle Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Saw this on pocketnow.com - http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/multitou...sistive-screens There is a "pre-Alpha" SDK that allows for "fake" multi-touch on resistive screens. You have to use one finger as an "anchor" and then you can zoom in and out by sliding the other. The driver is available at XDA (link in the article). Not sure if it will work with our Omnias, but I'm going to check it out!
Guest TheDrizzle Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Well, it is definitely a rough "proof of concept". It seems to work, but the if I just slide with one finger it still zooms, so not sure if it is even doing anything with both points. Definitely something to keep an eye on as it develops.
Guest maczen Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 it works but it will also zoom with one finger.
Guest cooleydan5 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 it works but it will also zoom with one finger. i can confirm it works quite well. but no you cant zoom with one finger. it zooms but no as smoothey as with both fingers. but hey this is def a great start towards multitouch! finally.....and they said it couldnt be done haha
