Guest Tormios Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 You can be the first who will try. How come that you don't have XP? Install it on VMWare Workstation and use.

Guest sino Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 (edited) hey there .. just wanna ask if can update my Omnia ROM " cooked rom " with windows 7 will it harm my device ?? i really dont have any XP device in my home n' i'm stuck with old rom which i really hate anybody tried it with windows 7 ? I can tell you that you can update your device with Win7. But you should use the old driver which used in WinXP for Omnia. Simply say: Connect your device to Win7,it will automatically install the driver for Omnia, the in the device/hardware management center, you will find the driver's version is 6.1.6965.0, you have to use the driver for WinXP(Version 5.0) manually replace the driver 6.1(this step is the key), you can run the packaged .exe document to flash your device, then reboot your device and connect to computer, after you flash your device, you should roll over the driver 5.0 to 6.1,so that you can synchronize your device with Win7's Device Center. I have do it successfully! My system is Chinese language, so I can not help you with pictures captured in the process mentioned above. Good luck. Edited December 7, 2009 by sino
