HELP!! simlock after orange lock

help! I did the orange developers site unlock, and successfully recieved the message saying I had been unlocked - 15 mins later my phone says 'no service'. So I tried to make a call, did that no problem ... as soon as I hung up, the phone jumps to the simunlock code page.

I have never set a sim unlock code, but have tried 1111 & 0000 which are the two obvious defaults I thought of.

Any help from an expert here?

if you using an orange sim, ring up 150

..

(if not have you simunlocked your phone?)

..

Might be a sim card fault, but without more info.. we can't help!

It is an orange sim - but I have no other phone to ring Orange from, and obviously I cant dial from my SPV.

What other info can I give you that would help?

Will -

I did a hard reset & that took the sim lock off.

I still don't know whay it happened. But now the phone has recerted itself - can't run unsigned apps.

I thought the orange decert was supposed to be hard reset proof?

Did you find any other default sim unlock codes? I phoned orange & they said 1111 is all they have (although 1 girl said there was a password marked as TBC - To Be Confirmed I suspect?!?

OK - now I have done the orange unlock process again - and my phone seems to be unlocked & working fine, without having recieved any notification message saying it had been unlocked.

I'm not really looking for any more advice here, just throwing these details out there for analysis, you know?!

I read through the threads I could find about this orange unlock, but no one mentioned a random simlock appearing. I have never set up a sim unlock code, so it should have recognised 1111, but didnt. Since hard reset seemed to fix it, could just be a glitch?

Any thoughts?
