HTC Sense UI application menu

Hello everyone;

I was just wondering, is there anyway to smoothen scrolling with the Sense UI applications menu? I am using Modaco 3.0 and it seems quite sluggish and unresponsive compared to the default Android home screen's app panel. I'm curious to see whether it's simply a rendering speed issue, or possibly just slow because it doesn't precache the icons and titles.

If you're using Modaco 3, the scrolling in the apps menu should be smooth as silk... smoother than any vanilla ROM I tried anyway.

The times when it went sluggish, is when an Market install was happening, or more often: I got too many programs open that are doing stuff.

Leaving the browser on an intensive site is mostly the case. When I open a large page, with animated gifs and loads of javascript, the browser get's sluggish. When I then press 'home' to do something else, the whole OS is laggy. When I use a task-killer to kill the browser and other unneeded stuff, everything goes smooth again.

I have my messagse, gmail, calendar, people, meebo and settings open at all time, the rest I try to close whenever I'md one with them.
