HTC Hero vs. HTC Sync

OK, so here is the deal. I updated my HTC Hero to the latest MoDaCo ROM - Core version - Nandroid, wipe, update.zip... The whole thing. And my problem is the following - when I try to sync my phone to Outlook (don't laugh, the boss is an idiot...) via the HTC Sync, the phone is not able to find the program, although when I select "HTC Sync"on my phone the cursor on the PC blinks several times. I have no problems mounting the phone as a USB device for file transfer, DroidExplorer sees my phone. And before the update I had no problems.

The only problem is the stupid Outlook/HTC sync.

EDIT:

I've tried the following:

- Installed the latest version of the HTC Sync.

- Second Nandroid backup and "Wipe" - to no avail.

- Before and after the restore I removed the Android device in my "Devices and Printers" and reinstalled it.

EDIT2:

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place the topic and if you can please transfer it to "Hero - Specific".
