FLAC support: any chance in the near future?

Cyanogen on the G1 is already supporting that format since some time now.

Is there any plan to add it to MCR as well?

I can see that on the "Planned for future releases" list, but that was there also in the past ...

It'd be very nice to have it ...

That thing works. But cannot play (and not even see) my MP3s!

I have both formats and using 2 players, so different each other, is not a nice thing.

Anyway, it seems there's no option at the moment, even though I think I saw a library to add FLAC support to the standard player.

But cannot recall where.

Sigh!

I just downloaded mixzing lite from the market and it doesn't seem to be able to read my flac files... Is there anything to do?

It also seems to have problems scanning my SD ... and I confirm there seems to be no FLAC support at all.

From the complete silence on the topic, and from the fact that you, Gnarfer, just put 1 post to advertise mixzing, I presume that there is no FLAC support at all and that the software you "suggested" is no better than the default media player.
