Guest stevenz Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 So i have question.. Where to find games like they are on iPhone? iPhone has unicredible good games with multi touch support, where i can find this games for HTC Hero? The Marketplace or Google would be good places to start. Android isn't as mainstream as the iPhone so there's less incentive for developers to make paid games due to the amount of work involved. The 2 platforms are also completely incompatible (although both Android and iPhone OS use are loosely based on a varient of Unix, they use incompatible libraries etc) so it's not a simple task to port the apps. With the Droid selling as well as it has, they might be more interested, but they may also be more liable to tailor the games to the Droids larger screen which would possibly stop them being usable on the Hero. The only games on mine are Sudoku and Jewels. I haven't really bothered looking for them as I'd rather read my eBooks than play games when I'm on the bus etc. (Aldiko ftw! ;) Marketplace has just decided to stop working for me, but there was a vertically-scrolling shooter in there which looked promising. What games have people found that are worthwhile?
Guest Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 Robo Defence and Jewellust are both good games that I've bought and got my money's worth from. Buka, M Puzzle and Gem Miner are also mighty fine diversions.

Guest Stojko Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 I've heard good things about Robo Defense. I haven't tried it yet since my Hero is still on a courier truck somewhere but I'm going to download it the second it comes. ;)
Guest munkimatt Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Lets be blunt here, there isn't any games yet that are as graphically fantastic as the ones available on the iPhone. Robo Defence, Abduction!, What The Doodle?, Frozen Bubble, are all good fun. Oh and Kitten Cannon. But I'm a sick little puppy.
Guest Calculon Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 (edited) Robo Defence - a fun tower defense game with many upgrade options and levels. Flight Director - almost the same as Fligth Control on the iphone, but with airport maps from google maps. Beatdown Boxing - a good boxing game. These are all very good games that Ive played alot, you can find demo/lite versions for all three on the market. ;) Edited December 11, 2009 by Calculon
