Guest Jiastin Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) hey, guys, I currently have a B7610 from O2 UK,but when I insert Rogers canada SIM card in the phone ,turn on it, the phone requires entering PIN otherwise only emergency calls can be made. so im confused the PIN for unlocking the phone or unlock the SIM. I have contacted Rogers and they believe they never set a PIN for new customer, this make me believe the phone is locked by O2, but there is an opinion in setting-->security---> SIM PIN, when I go to this section, the phone shows the same as"Enter PIN. Only emergency calls can be made without a PIN" that is same as the information when I every time turn on the device. its really weird, if The PIN the phone need is not SIM PIN, when I goes into setting-->security---> SIM PIN, it should ask me to set up an initial PIN rather than letting me enter a PIN.I am really confused what the PIN is. please help me.thx Edited December 10, 2009 by Jiastin
Guest ErnstJanF Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 PIN could be 2 things. Phone password or SIM password ;)
Guest .:stn:. Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 It asks me for pin which I have set on my SIM card in the same way, mentioning SOS calls only indicates SIM pin again.
Guest ErnstJanF Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Could be O2 who has locked the phone.. tried another SIM card?
