New To Android!

Hi guys!

So Im one of those folks who picked up a Pulse uber cheap a few weeks back and only just round playing round with it. Ive seen Pauls video and all other reviews about the phone. I have kept an eye on these forums about rooting/unlocking the phone but thats where the problem happens for me.

I understand all the new wordings about how to get things done on the phone but as to the basic stuff like the actual rooting files and how-to guides seem to be lacking for newcomers like me.

So can some one please explain to me what version of Android available here on the forums i should use. Iam looking for a updated version devoid of all T-Mobile markings. Also how i should go about installing it?

Also would the rooted system be fully update able? and could i access the market place even with a rooted phone?

At the moment i have a BB Bold would my Email be pushed to the phone like my BB? and what program would that come under?

Any help would be great guys!

you can find all the information in the 'important topics' section of this forum.

you have to start with superboot: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...now-s19-99-p12/

after that you have to install the patched recovery: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...on-your-device/

if you want to have a rom without t-mobile's customizations then follow the instructions here: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...ure-stock-roms/

there are a lot of tutorials, questions and answers in these topics. i'm sure that there's an answer for every problem around here. you just have to read carefully.

if you use gmail on your phone, than your emails will be pushed automatically but you have to have a data plan. there's also exchange support on the phone so you can use your work mail with it if your company has an exchange server.
