Questions on customising M2D

Ok, so I've never really used M2D before - pretty much been with PointUI since I got my Omnia, but have recently re-flashed and thought i'd give it a go. It's great so far, but there's a few things I would like to change/customise. I spent an hour or so searching for the answers but came up with next to nothing. So here goes;

1. Is there a way to change the default Calendar and/or Clock app that the home tab links to? I really like the Omnia Lite alternatives and would love for them to be my defaults. (I think maybe VJBrisk is the answer... but couldn't find very detailed instructions anywhere)

2. Is it possible to re-map the soft keys of ALL tabs? I know M2DC can change the Home tab keys, but I want to play with the other tabs too.

I think that's all for now ;) Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers, Jason.

this is the program you are looking for ive used it to change the shortcuts but i dont think it works for m2dv2

LOL I literally JUST found that thread and gave it a go - but thanks so much for the reply. It works perfectly! Now clicking my clock takes me straight to Omnia Lite's Touch Clock, clicking the calendar goes to Touch Calendar, and it's even remapped any softkeys I wanted... ("Album" now takes me to the FAR superior Resco Photo Manager 7).

This little app has just made Manilla my permanent UI ;)

Hey I'm using TouchFlo 2.0 Build 1919.1432.

And no, as far as I'm aware there's no version compatible with landscape. Having said that, if you prove me wrong, please let me know ;)

mm... not sure I agree. PointSense is one of the most customisable UI's out there. You can put shortcuts to anything you like, anywhere you like. And with the new lot of widgets being developed it's going to have everything that M2D has (msg, email, music, photos, comm etc etc).

Having said that, I've had PointSense for months and months now and just feel like a change (I just can't keep things the same lol - beauty of WinMo I guess). So yeah, for NOW I'm really liking M2D, now that I've been able to edit the links within it.

But I agree with installing both and switching - PointUI works great when installed to My Storage too so it won't suck to much device memory.

now it seems that pointsense development has been stopped .. i am thinking to change to SPB Mobile 3 .. i heard many ppl say this is the best UI for Winmo.. are you on the same path as well?

M2D is great but it is memory hog ~10MB in my case.. and also everytime I run IGO8 GPS software and when I quit / minimize it, I need to restart the M2D!! It will say something like "Tap here to run Touchflo".. a bit tired of this..

Im using Ryzy 6.5.3 28002 btw..

Mobile Shel 3.5 is great, but for some reason (no idea why) I just get tired of it very quickly every time I install it... I even spent ages fiddling with it, adding custom pages and features, but it just didn't do it for me. I think I'll stick to M2d for now ;) . Oh and as a side not, I saw a very interesting looking UI in development (basically a PointUI skin) that mimics the Meizu M8 UI. They've actually just released the WQVGA version, so this could be well worth a look. Check it out here.

Are you talking about M2D? If so, google SSMaHo (from XDA). You will be able to open whatever SMS prog you want, but I dont know if it can open individual messages...
