Guest spence91 Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 The Hero saves the passwords for wireless access points you've logged onto before. But i can't see the passwords, or work out where they are stored.. does anyone know if this information is accessible?

Yes, it is ;) adb shell cat /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf All your WLAN info is there.
Guest volatile_ink Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 Yes, it is ;) adb shell cat /data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf All your WLAN info is there. Why is this info stored 'in the clear'? I'd have thought it would be encrypted.

I can't quite believe that android uses wpa_supplicant for it's wireless management. This makes life so convenient, all i have to do is drop the wpa_supplicant.conf onto my laptop and thats it! instant networking Thanks again.
