Guest JDawg183 Posted December 15, 2009 Report Posted December 15, 2009 So, I have an Omnia I910. I downloaded the newest version of Bing Mobile, as I have heard that it is quite the improvement, but when I try to install it, it says my device is not supported. The old version is working fine. Anyone got any ideas how to get the new one working?

Anyone got any ideas how to get the new one working? http://wls.live.com try navigating to this in your phone browser, will take you directly to download page, i'm assuming it is the latest version. I was downloading cab to pc and was getting the same, phone not supported, mess when i try to install on phone. use that url on your phone's browser and it should work fine
Guest eufouria Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 Hm, not sure what's different about going to wls.live.com as it simply redirects to m.bing.com. Tried anyway to no avail.
Guest cookster6052 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 I am running 6.5, downloaded the new bing at m.bing.com as outlined at http://windowsmobilelouisville.com. installed to SD chip. Works great. Should grab Q-GPS from Omniarom.com or other i910 forums to speed up gps sync(see cab files) as the gps needs to be active for it to work properly. Other than that might want to turn it off and back on or do a hard reset (better yet go to omniarom and upgrade your device)

I am able to download the application just fine, but when I try to install it, it shows the loading bar, then it says screw you before even allowing you to choose where to install. Also, I could not find Q-GPS, can you give me a direct link? Edited December 17, 2009 by JDawg183
Guest Slagathor64 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 i tried installing the bing update on my omnia 2 but got the same problem... turns our you have to use internet explorer and download bing onto your phone from there. It doesn't work if you download it using opera for some reason :)

I havent found any way to get it working, but what I have heard is that the newest version sacrifices a lot of features for the new look. That is according to the guys on XDA anyway. A lot of them reverted back after putting it on.
