Guest lemmyc Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 I installed the recovery image - worked OK. Then superboot, so that I would have root. Now I'm getting the endless reboot thing. The Pulse had a stock ROM, pre-December update. Can anyone give me a step by step to get things running again? I think this would help a few people judging from other threads. My intention was to install the Modaco ROM then apply the December patch. Thanks!
Guest Paul Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Give superboot 1.4 a try? http://loadbalancing.modaco.com/download.p...65pv39jj2oz6b6e Superboot isn't actually required if you're installing a custom ROM! From the first line of the superboot topic... This is not necessary if you plan to use a custom ROM, it's only necessary if you want to root your stock ROM! ;) P
Guest lemmyc Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 (edited) Thanks, will try it. I installed superboot so that I could run Quick Boot. :/ UPDATE: success! Cheers. Edited June 7, 2011 by Paul

The December patch is only for if you have installed the December update, you don't need it otherwise and will get yourself in trouble again.

I did do it and I did get myself into trouble again! Managed to get into recovery mode and restore a Nandroid backup though. Back to square one ;)
