Guest chocobogo Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Have any of you guys managed to get this working! I have always had to Manually Activate it! I have tried on a clean install, de-cert.. etc.. But I always have to end up activating manually!! Any advice?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Automatic activation of what exactly? Give me a clue ;)
Guest chocobogo Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Any aplication like, GPRS Traffic counter, IA Albumn etc.. They ask to be activated upon the first installation and offer an Automatic function or manual, and I cant seem to ever get the automatic to work I was just wondering whether this was a known bug!
Guest yatpeak Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 A lot of people seem to have trouble with the automatic activation, so I suggest that you use the manual one. However, if you want to activate it automatically, try connecting to GPRS before you tell it to activate, I read somewhere that you have to do this. Wyatt
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 I know a lot of people have had problems with All-explorer myself included. I've managed to get it to work three times on different occasions. But other times I get no luck at all. So it seems to be a bit hit and miss.
Guest HelloDave Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 It's a known issue with Smartphone 2002 I think. I got it to work with the trial of All-Explorer but never again since, and it's a pain when you have to type in a long random key string by hand! Just me being picky I spose.
Guest yatpeak Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Since you only do it once per program, and only some programs require activation, I don't think it's that much of a problem. Wyatt
Guest DJHope Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Yeh i got it working, piss about with internet explorer for a bit, then go and try automatic activation, if it dosnt work go back and piss about on internet explorer and try the cycle again! Bit pants IMHO! DJ Hope
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 You need an active GPRS connection for auto-registration to work. Just sign on to MSN first or something, should work fine after thtat
