Solution : Hard Reset on Omnia Pro

I searched a lot in this forum and other for doing a hard reset.

Softreset + Volume key up + lock key doesn't work!

to reset,

click on menu screen, choose settings from the bottom screen and go to memory settings. Select Clear memory and press 1234.. Will reset your phone ;) worked for me..

but still facing problem with my touch player ;)

Yeah we knew that, but what if the software won't boot and someone is stuck at the bootloader?

Secany's 6.5 update screwed the Hard-reset buttons as mine worked at 6.1 ;)

I accidentially deleted some registry files and now my Pro B7610 won"t boot up... it is stuck at a black screen after the 2nd Samsung Boot screen after that Samsung Boot sound. So i really need to know how to hard reset this device... Tried all possible way of hard reset stated from various sources... none worked.... what can I do now... ;) I only got it a few days ago so this makes me panic!!!!

Came from iphone to HTC android, then now first time winmobile and it broke down on my on the 4th day.... I wanna cry now....

you're form Canada, hmm this might be a bit of a problem. Do you know which firmware you have on your handset?

Ok, so here we go..

Disclaimer: I am not an expert on WM I am totally new on this platform. I know a lot about samsungs, though. I flashed my b7610 10 and it is okay but I can not guarantee you 100%  safety. There is always a risk that you may brick your phone.

I'm not sure where did you buy this phone. Canadian and American Omnia's might be different than the European ones. They are when it comes to Omnia 2, so got no idea how it looks like with a PRO [b7610] and where is your from exactly.

If you're 100% sure you got PRO which is the same as in Europe and you have/had B7610NXXIK2 firmware it should be enough to flash just with PDA file. I did it and is was OK. If not probably PDA + SCS +EBoot.

you need:

1.Drivers

This is Armani b7620 CSC but it worked for him.

1. Open octans

2. Load file(s) - You may want to check Preserve device Content - should leave My Storage as it is

3. Pres detect button (try on switched off phone, it it doesn't work try to power it on) You should see downloader screen on your device.

4. Press start downloading - Flash.

5. Wait.

Hope I clarified a bit.

Since I can't turn it back on I can no longer check for its version... I remember it being NXXXK SOMETHING, dun remember the rest.... I got this from the UK. From Clove Technology.

OK, I got mine from clove tech as well.  Seems that just flashing PDA would be enugh. 

Look for the above post, you may also want to look at service manual I put on this forum, too.
