in gparted, is your ext3 partition the first or second one there. when i first instaled mcr i had issues getting apps to sd and the recovery image to work unless the ext partition was the second one. try moving it see if that works, if not you could try completing wiping the card and re partitioning to see if that helps.

I have problems installing apk files too, both from Market as from SD card

What I did was :

format SD card using the recovery rom. 512 MB ext4 and no swap --> no apps could be installed.

then : format SD card with recovery rom and set 512 MB ext3 and no swap --> still not able to install apps

finally : formatted SD to full FAT32 (8 GB) and then I could install apps again.

Weird huh ?

I'm using MCR 1.7 T-Mobile style.

What am I doing wrong here ?

Did someone else experience the same problems ?

if it gave an error, you should try repairing the ext file system and repairing app uids.

You will notice it when your internal memory usage will not go down.

Your internal memory/storage will still go down even if A2SD is working due to cache data & some other stuff. I've got 63mb left and a2sd is definitely working for me, so I would try and determine for sure whether or not it's working for you before you wipe your sd card! :D

install a few large apps (such as the free version of speedforge, photoshop mobile) and see how much space you have left.

Open an ADB shell and check to see if /data/app is a symlink to /system/sd/app. If it is, A2SD is working.

OK, I re-partitioned the SD card as follows :

0 MB swap

512 MB ext2

converted ext2 to ext3

after that I immediately repaired my ext filesystem on the SD card.

Now I'm able to install apk files from SD.

juhu !! :D
