How to extract files from a custom rom?

hi friends will you plz tell me how to extraxt files from a custo rom?

can u point me out to some tools to extract the files from the .bin file?

Flash it, take the files that you want out, and then flash back to the ROM you were on.. Or maybe ask the chef if you can use their stuff instead of going through the hassle..
