Guest Arazmus Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) Hi, This has been bugging me majorly.. unfortunately the internet has failed to delivery this time. My T-Mobile Pulse keep restarting at the tmobile loading screen. It boots, shows the android logo, goes to the tmobile loads screen and at the end of that it restarts (the lights light up and its restarts) this is in an infernal loop.. I think the reasons for this are as follows, i installed wavesecure and then tried to root the device, now its in reboot loop. It has superboot on it and the ramon recovery file, i have tried both a clean wipe using fastboot to get to the recovery image and then doing a nandroid restore, i have also tried a restor using fastboot in windows. I have wiped everything from the device via recovery and even installed a custom rom - all of which do not kill this reboot loop. everything installs fine and the nandroid restore all works, but it just wont load the OS... Any ideas? EDIT I have followed this post: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...id-boot-screen/ And am now trying to install the december update using the VOLUME UP + END CALL method.. EDIT 2 got it to work using the update feature (vol up + end). This thread is now obsolete and can be deleted, however is it possible to combine all these solutions for phone badword ups into one nice and handy guide - will save me loads of time browsign the net and i am sure it will be helpfull to others. Guest Arazmus Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 OK i tried to install superboot after getting my phone to work using the decemeber update and it has started to do the same thing.. resetting at boot... endless loop. is there another way to root the phone so as to use custom roms?
Guest klutsh Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 (edited) As Paul has said before, install the December update, then ONLY the recovery image, after that install the custom MCR you require (Along with the December Update patch) this will give you root without having to use SuperBoot. At the moment superboot is not compatible with the dec update, however if you read the pinned thread re the custom rom you will find that there is a custom version of the dec update which already has root access
Guest Paul Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 There are now 2 superboot versions for pre and post update. And I recommend EVERYONE does the update now. P

Guest Dumela Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I too have the swirling pink arrow of death.... Not a happy bunny. having been a windows mobile person for more years than I care to remember, never having any real issues of note, one week with a t-mobile pulse running droid and things start falling apart. At work at the moment with a broke phone. Never a problem if a hard re-set was required with my other devices. But not the pulse, have no admin rights to work computers so have to wait till I get home to connect pulse to laptop and then I can do a hard reset... thats just daft... well, spoke to t-mobile and they have offered to do a swap out since I've only had the phone a week. Still my question is thus... Having trawled the tinterweb for some time this morning, it would seem that this problem has been cropping up quite regular like... So does anyone know if updating the rom / os or what ever (when I get me new one) will stop this problem from happening? Oh and it seems for me and at least two or three others from what I have read, had this happen after letting the battery totally drain... anyone got any thoughts? (other than not leting the batery totally drain that is.) (I'm smiling on the outside, but sething on the inside.) :)
