Need help flashing SPL

I have heard that many people say "Flash ok reboot and bricked". I am going holiday tommorow and I want my phone to be fully working , but also want to flash the unlocked SPL in it.

What is exactly the progress ? Because I have search everywhere and found only how is done on HTC Magic ;)

Also I flashed a custom ROM (MODACO 3.0) - Custom Recovery (Amon_RA 1.5.2) and the newest radio posted from Paul in update.zip

I am just too afraid to do. The main reason is to continue my theme making to make a splash screen too :)

I forgot something...

I have 0007 version....is it possible to just flash to 2007 or I will brick it ?

basically people brick it by taking out the battery and interupting the flashing procedure, remember this, DO NOT TAKE OUT THE BATTERY OR TURN IT OFF UNLESS IT TELLS YOU TO!! IF IT DOESNT TELL YOU TO, JUST WAIT PATIENTLY TILL THE PHONE FULLY POWERS ON. <==im not shouting, just emphasising :)

Really thanks , problem solved. Now I have it flashed on my hero and I don't regret I pressed the damn button haha :)
