Cooked ROM -- is it worth it?

Hey all,

Ever since i discovered the Omnia and it's ROM capabilities, ive tried several, in particular the WM 6.5 ones. I don't know if its me or what but they were all quite buggy. buttons won't work at times, periodical crashes...

Is this typical? If i don't care about custom "design" should i just use the latest stock Verizon ROM?

I'm currently using Blazingwolf's version which i like best, but often the explorer wont work, and other apps sometimes cause it to freeze.

Also, can anyone tell me of the latest google maps app crashes for them as well?

Thank you.

If you don't care about custom design then indeed stick to whatever branded rom you can get from your provider. If you however want to explore the possibilities on an Omnia unlocked by a custom cooked rom then indeed flash until your hearts content. This however does come with possibly badly cooked roms or occasional human errors while making them. Chefs are only human :).

I use Nicklass Ultralite 6.5 rom with SPB mobile shell 3 and it has not let me down yet. No crashes. No freezing.

Again.. if you don't custom then stick to the branded rom.
