Guest msmith0957 Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Upon installing BlackWolf's 23064 (awesome ROM if I may add) and installing the latest version of google maps from their website, v3.3.1, It seems that anytime I try to "Use GPS" or click the blue dot (to center the map on your location), the program quits out right away, and when I go back into Google Maps, i get the message, "The previous instance of Google Maps stopped unexpectedly." Has anyone gotten this error and found a fix? Am I the only one? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling google maps. I'm going to try to see how Garmin Mobile XT works but as of now I'm not sure what the issue is.
Guest UncleBeer` Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I've been having that the last couple of versions of Google Maps as well, but I've been using the same 6.5 rom for almost 9 months, so it ain't the rom's fault. Sloppy Google coding, no doubt.
Guest loudcox Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Known issue to google maps 3.3.1 - which the fix, er, didn't You can regress to 3.2.1 at http://m.google.com/maps/download/binaries.../GoogleMaps.CAB
