I don't know whether this problem is solved or not, or maybe someone had shared this method in someplace. Here I want to share a solution.

I'm a Chinese, now I'm on dheewatara's 28011 rom, but I find that sms reply is still so slow even after I installed the "sms reply fix.cab".

I find a solution in our local forum. It's useful in my omnia. So I share the files here. Please copy the files to "\windows\" to replace the original files.

It's said that this problem is due to the conflict of samsung mms driver and WM6.5. So if you change the mms to new version, you can solve this problem.

thanks to the original author "i908mobile @kingmobile.net"

MMS1.0.0.75.rar

Is this from the ZHID (Chinese :) ) firmware? While working on the BT fix, I found out that if I replace the mms.dll file with ZHID's, it seemed to fix the sms reply "freeze/hang" problem.

The other solution is to use htmlnote.dll, but if the files provided by ap20001 works, we'll have solved a bug that's around for quite some time.

Excellent find, ap20001!

I'm not sure where it comes from, but the author said that it's new version mms from samsung.

BTW, the common firmware used now is zuif2(Chinese)

Won't let me copy over or move the files from the /windows folder on my device even when I remove the read only status.

Try use Total Commander or Resco Explorer to copy/move it to your windows. I'm using Resco and I have no problem replacing those files.

For me, the fix still didnot solve the problem of fowarding MMS. It still take ages to prepare the Foward MMS. Approx. 30~40sec.

Just my little contribution. I cabbed up the fix from this post so it installs all the parts form the first post automatically.
