Pulse or Google nexus one phone

I am trying to decide between buying a Pulse now or waiting to find out the definate info about the Nexus One phone? I have been holding off buying the Pulse hoping that Tmobile might have another 1/3 off day like they had on 3rd of Dec. Do you think they might have a further sale after Christmas or will they may remove the 20% discount altogether? I would hate to miss out on one of them. I would also hate to buy the Pulse and then find out that the Nexus came out early in the new year on a great introductory deal.

I am currently in a contract with 3 until June and would want a PAYG option to unlock the phone to put my 3 sim in.

What are your thoughts on this one? Any advice gratefully received and considered?

I basically took the "get both" option.

I was thinking of a Hero for ages, and then the Pulse came out and it was nearly as good, and vastly cheaper.

And there were many much better than Hero devices in the pipeline, so I figured I'd get one of them in the new year.

Hmmmmmmmmm, I think that quote is very misleading.

I have both and the Hero is in a different class.

The pulse is 'okay' but the Hero is brilliant.

Just my thoughts.

till june many things will happen :)

nexus one is (will be) much better phone than Pulse. But then again Pulse is cheap and does his job.

Your choice should be more based on how much money would you like to spend, and less on which telephone is better ;)

my advice is that if you can get pulse for 100 pounds, buy it, then think about nexus one in june B)

With the countdown happening on the Google homepage, I'd wait until 1st Jan to see what occurs.

Of course if T-Mobile did another 24 hour, under £100 sale I would get that, and any googlephone is likely to be a US only thing at first - what with the yanks not understanding the world is bigger than the US.

Yeah?

HW specs wise they're nearly identical aren't they?

same processor etc but i'm pretty sure all the bits that join it together and don't get named on the spec sheet will be of lower quality.

however i could be completely wrong!

does the pulse have a glass screen or plastic? seriously considering one. at £137 its very tempting. Was thinking about the acer liquid but i can't justify spending more than twice as much.

There were rumors that nexus one will be a UK release first of all... Seems that HTC at least has a habit of releasing hardware to western areas in the UK first of all, or this is what i was lead to believe!

Will be an interesting new year, im holding out for the nexus one now... or at least the next HTC device thats running 512mb of ROM and a Snapdragon!

Nexus one has been provided to US Google employees already.

Not tied to any carrier

It would have a SnapDragon..

In Terms of Pulse and Hero..

Pulse has 3.5 compared to 3.2 inch screen of Hero

Camera is 3.2Megapixels compared to 5 of Hero

And selected European Google employees too.

The Guardian reported the other day that Google had already had discussions with several UK networks including T-Mobile...

Thanks for the responses everyone. I have decided to go with the pulse as it looks more and more likely that it will be a couple of months at least until the Nexus is on sale to the public and at a cost of about £300 I think. I decided to buy the Pulse and learn about the Android system with this phone. I also doubt that T-Mobile will have the phone rediuced to £100 again as it seems to have been very popular at the £137 price. In fact it has now gone up to £139.99 in the shops with £20 top-up required.

Ordered onine today at £137 with £10 top up. Not in stock at present.

Once again thanks for all the responses.
