Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) UPDATED: Wiki Page now available at: http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_U8220 This is mainly aimed at Paul. As a Christmas break project, I'd like to compile an information/reference site for the T-Mobile Pulse, with detailed step-by-step guides, that we can all contribute to. I'd like to feature the MoDaCo custom ROMs and kernels as the main focus of the guides and tutorials. I will supply the hosting, domain etc. Would you have any problems with this? I will ensure MoDaCo are fully recognised and I'll happily include any advertising free of charge. Any other opinions and comments would be appreciated. Louis Why not just create a wiki page on modaco for the pulse, that way there should be no problems referencing the custom ROMs.

Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I assume you mean wiki.modaco.com, and if you do, how do I login/register? Is it private?

Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Have you tried your forum name? I thought I tried that, but must have used the wrong password. Have logged in now, thanks.

Not sure how WIKIs work, I did a search for pulse and it asked if I wanted to create the page as it wasn't found, so you may find a completely blank page there. Did the same for "t-mobile pulse" and didn't get the option to create a page so it may take higher permissions to do that. EDIT: Found a start here http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huweai_U8220 Edited December 22, 2009 by Shuflie

Another shameless plug: Huweai U8220 (T-Mobile Pulse) Wiki Page

Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 spelling 'Huawei' correctly might be a good start... Oh dear. Thanks for that, I've fixed it now. Here is the new link: http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_U8220
Guest ZootHornRollo Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 i think the spec may need a bit of tweaking! 1.92GB ROM? :) Resistive Touchscreen? ;)
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 i think the spec may need a bit of tweaking! 1.92GB ROM? :) Resistive Touchscreen? ;) Yeh. Fixed the touchscreen error. I got the ROM size from: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...s/#entry1097256 Not sure if they are correct. I've looked at some more specifications from other sites and updated the wiki page with some more information.

If you had scrolled down you would've seen the right specs were listed in Post #3 :) Memory ROM:256 MB, RAM:192MB

Guest rjm2k Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I've added some bits, is there a link to the wiki from anywhere other than this thread?
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I've added some bits, is there a link to the wiki from anywhere other than this thread? No, not that I'm aware of. Louis
Guest SSH Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I added a redirect for T-Mobile Pulse to Huawei_U8220
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I added a redirect for T-Mobile Pulse to Huawei_U8220 Grand. Good idea. Thanks for the help.
Guest Shuflie Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 No, not that I'm aware of. Louis Well you do have the link from the main devices page of the wiki, although a sticky with a direct link to the product page at the top of the forum would probably be good.

Could someone make this thread a sticky so people can find the wiki?? It may get updated a bit more and also stop ppl from posting the same problems over and over
