Guest sugplopp Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 I can't connect to satellites. Everything in settings checked. Even tried flashing that test-ru-rom to see whether it's a radio-issue, but no. I've tried gpsstatus and gpstest, none of the mentioned apps report any satellites, even though the gpsnotification-icon is showing. Any ideas? Thanx!

Guest sugplopp Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Try turning off Ephemeris in Location Settings Seems to cause problems for me at least... Thanx! Tried that, can't seem to get connected to any satellites at all. My guess is faulty cell. :)
Guest sml12 Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 (edited) My guess is faulty cell. No ... it is 99% probably fine .. mine did exactly the same thing and took 3 days to get going!! In your testing, include some on/off switching. I recall my Liquid finally worked after the following; a) turn on GPS :) turn off phone c) turn on phone d) open google maps e) the slow flashing GPS icon flashes faster f) wait a few minutes g) finally .. I have a GPS location I did so much testing .. but I think the solution was the on/off whilst GPS was turned on (as above). Leave on empheris. Do the above OUTSIDE! Edited December 22, 2009 by sml12

Still not a clue of a satellite in the gps-testing-apps. Not a trace. Maps-accuracy goes around 2000 meters, so it's just a question of triangulation. My guess is still faulty cell. :)
Guest sugplopp Posted December 22, 2009 Report Posted December 22, 2009 Have now reflashed to 1.002.05-EMEA-GEN1, contacted the store where i bought it. It's not supposed to be like this. Darn. Thanx anyway.

This did the trick for me as I was having GPS connection troubles too.
Guest sugplopp Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 This did the trick for me as I was having GPS connection troubles too. After trying several hours and not being able to connect to one single satellite ever i gave up. The fact that Acer agreed that it sucks and wanted the phone shipped makes me believe i was right. Thanx though.
