Hi everyone,

I seem to have bricked my phone. :)

I updated the firmware from i900XXHH1\ACHH1 (Vodafone UK original ROM) to HH3 a couple of days ago, but I tried upgrading again to a custom ROM and had no such luck. It downloaded the EBOOT image, said it would reboot the phone...and nothing happened. I left it that way for quite a while but still nothing, tried to turn the phone on or off and nothing out of that either. Now if I try to turn it on, I get no lit LED or anything whatsoever, though I know the battery was full.

I've looked through the forums and haven't seen anything on fixing an Omnia quite this far gone, so I presume it's going to have to go back somewhere for repair (unfortunately, it's not under warranty). Is something like this fixable with the Omnia Repair Tool, or is it more likely to be a dead motherboard?

I'm going on holiday to Prague from Monday, so it's pretty bad timing, though self-inflicted. If it is fixable, is there anyone in or around Prague who has the repair tool that could look at it or is there anything I can do for it?

Thanks in advance.

I dont know about in prague but i found a place in sheffield that will do it when your back lol. Seems like a genuine service and they sell alot of unlocking boxes/unbranding kits. £25 with a quick turnaround beats sending it to romania or wherever it is to Elco lol.

Thanks, yeah, I did see a mention of that one when I was looking around the forum. :)

I'd just like to get it looked at while I'm out there if possible.

From what I know, theres very few people that can do it. Its worth asking around, but I dont think there will be other options lol

Sir, send and email to the resellers of the tool and ask them if there's someone from your country who bought the tool.

I´m from spain. i have the same problem. updating the rom, the omnia died and now i can´t turn it on and don´t charge.

in Madrid (spain) with 60 euros they solve the problem updating the boot of omnia with a jtag cable. It´s one solution. Excusame my english. And don´t worry it has solution not more expensive.

Who did you send your phone off to?

@...angel..., I'm in the UK, so I'll just send it off to fonefunshop unless there's anything better.
