Can anyone tell me how to debrand a T-mobile Omnia I900? I found this ols topic:

And wondered whether it was still correct since it mentions no T-Mobile. Perhaps I’m the only one stupid enough to buy there, but I really need to get rid of the bugs (battery and hang-ups) and T-Mobile has already moved on… Their just telling me to buy the new one :S How f***ing dumb is that.

I now have a:

PDA: i900XKHK2/ATHL2

PHONE: I900BOHK1

Any help would be welcome!

Hey. I debranded a TMobile UK branded omnia. It was running firmware BOHH5. The way that I did it was using the official MSHJ1 updater. Google the samsung omnia update and enter mshj1 as your current version. You'll then need to do the reg edit (its explained on many forums as the 'incorrect software version' fix.

I then ran the update. All went well but the phone became network locked again! But luckily, I could easily unlock it using the .exe in the unlock omnia thread on this forum and hey presto. I was running MSHJ1 fully updated, wayyyy improved battery life and no horrible branding or crashing :)
