Phone stuck on 2g

Guys,

Was wondering if you could help me.

Got my phone unlocked, threw a three sim card in there, changed the apn settings accordingly.

However, the phone never goes onto 3g, I know I'm in a 3g area. Whenever, I click prefer umts, the phone just gets rid of its signal - so this is not an option.

Anyone why this is happening? It is quite annoying!

I know if you use a 3 sim in a non 3 'programmed' phone you can have problems accessing thier internet service etc.

I am and i know others are using a 3 simcard in the pulse just fine...

Ensure that "Use only 2G networks" option is unticked...

As far as access point, i got the following:

APN - three.co.uk

MMSC - http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc

MMS Proxy - mms.three.co.uk

MMS port - 8799

MMC - 234

MNC - 20

I am using a pulse with MCR1.1 (U8230 based)
