Guest Korea Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Hey guys! I just flashed Mr. Capcom's new ROM on my Omnia (I'm new to the whole flashing thing) Installation went well. The Omnia restarted, and after it went to the "Mr. Capcom" screen (with the bulging anime character in the background), I unplugged the USB cable from my phone to my comptuter. All of the sudden, the phone restarted--and now it hangs on that Mr. Capcom screen, and I can't access anything. What happened? And is it safe to try and re-flash my Omnia now? I know I'm supposed to have the System Settings for USB Connections set to "mass storage", but I can't really access much of anything right now. Is it safe to flash even if that setting isn't set correctly? What can I do to correct this? Thanks so much guys! And MrCapcom, I know your ROM will be AWESOME once this glix is fixed on my end :) Good job on the rom! (I think the whole "Please don't turn me off" video is so cool!)
Guest necosino Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Yep, just a failed flash. Go ahead and re-flash.
Guest DirtySanchez Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 Ya just keep in mind if u use XP u have to uncheck allow usb connection in the connection settings same for Vista/win 7 Windows Mobile Device Center if you dont then your rom will not flash right each time. Also Keep in mind u almost have to try to brick a phone (easiest way is to interrupt the flashing) so dont lose hope most of the time you can recover from a bad flash.
