The ROM I installed uses PHATFINGERS Dialer, and I don't like it because I don't have.. fat fingers. It doesn't lock properly, neither. I installed the original Samsung Dialer but it seems to install fine, but after a soft reset it doesn't change. Is there a registry change needed?

You can toggle the Samsung Phone Skin with Advanced Config or manually in the registry here

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin]

"Enabled"=dword:1

Not sure why it changed it to 'spam alert' or why it double posted, but I went with Icon Soft's Phone X and Samsung Today 2.

I am having the same issue. I installed thekevster's DC22 6.5 ROMs 23563, and would like to replace the phatfingers dialer with the vekkio black samsund dialer for i910. I have successfully used this dialer with other roms.

I have already gone into the registry and verified that:

HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin

Enabled: 1

Even when I change the value to 0, the phatfingers dialer seems to stay up.

To resolve this you need to add a value to the key:

HKLM\Security\Phone\Skins\ ext = \Windows\SECdialer.exe
