If I backup all my messages with PIM backup on my dutch wm 6.1 omnia, can I then restore them to an english wm 6.5 omnia? I just want to be certain that a conversion to wm 6.5 goes flawless :)

For your very important backups, try one of these (PIM Backup is not very reliable ...) :

- Sprite Backup.

- SPB Backup.

- Resco Backup.

yes you can without any problem, so long as your english ROM can read the Dutch fonts you can be rest assured

you can just backup contract with pim backup, about SMS MMS EMAIL ETC you should you resco backup it's a good to go

use microsoft MyPhone and only select sms sync.

It's the best software I know because it doesn't replace the SMS database.. it sync's with the normal API.

other software program's do a RAW byte read / they don't use the API.

that's why you could have problems between old / new versions on winmo if you restore a backup with other programs.

it is super fast Ms Myphone app & free...

Have done it myself, no problem at all ;-)

PIM Backup is just brilliant.
