Need Idiots Guide

hey all sorry to bug u again

ive had my pulse for a week ish now lol and have noticed that i need the december update thing, im downloading that as we speak. i also noticed u guys are making custom 'ROMS'... what is this and why would i need it? ive heard its faster than the standard OS or something that comes with the phone...

could any1 please clarify why i would need a custom rom and the advantages, and also if i would a guide on installing them (idiot step by step guide)

i am computer literate but dont have any experience in coding or w/e and i have windows xp not linux or the other 1 u guys are going on about

also wondering if i put a custom ROM on would that mean that i lose my warranty with tmobile?

2) Shut down computer

No problems then.

Seriously, though: if you haven't read up on this and have no idea what or why don't attempt to do anything. You'll end up breaking it.
