Guest preetkk Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Bought the phone with the 10 pounds top up used the internet went to check credit got charged 2 pound (pound a day usage with t-mobile I guess) I thought where's the unlimited internet and texts I was supposed to get then gone.......... SO Rang t-mobile (sounded like it went to USA) they said you get them next month...... she says you wont get the texts and internet till 1st of January for one month Now thats misleading it doesn't say that anywhere in the phone's box or on the part where you buy the phone (t-mobile site) where I could be bothered to look. But on there website "The legal stuff you need to know" it says: "Successfully top-up £10 in a calendar month and we'll give you unlimited free texts and internet on your phone to use during the next month. We'll send you a text to let you know you've earned the reward. Customers with a Blackberry on pay as you go won't be able to use the internet part of the reward but will still be able to use their unlimited texts." Just thought i'd notify people who didn't read this either. Edited December 27, 2009 by preetkk

To be fair it is widely advertised that it will not start until the next month, you should have even received a text following your sucessful top up to say that you will get free internet and texts the following month. I certainly did when my top up went through. However, I don't wish to top up £10 per month so I have opted for the 6monthweb option for £20 which for me is better value.
Guest David Mc0 Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 When I bought mine it just said you get free internet for your first month, didn't mention about it being the first calendar month after topping up. However I had read it on the forum, but I can't blame anyone who didn't realise this, as even knowing it, there was nothing to make this obvious in the order process (at least in my experience). Also, I used Quidco, which at the time said it'd give a £15 cashback for ordering a T-mobile pay as you go phone, however they've only given £5, and the offer seems to have changed to £5 now. It also previously stated I'd get £15 on the third month of using the SIM, but £5 has been credited now and it doesn't look like any more will be in the future. Does anyone know more about this?
Guest preetkk Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 you could try e-mailing quidco support?

If you're being charged £2/day then I'd guess that T-Mobile have you linked to a 'Mobile Broadband' tariff (for USB modems) rather than a 'mobile internet' tariff (for phones), which should be 50p/day! Recommend you check which tariff you're on through My T-Mobile and then give them another call. Remember to ask them to refund the overcharge *and* the charge for speaking to them to report *their* failure!
