I use 640*480, that's the exact res you need.

Make sure to zoom it in the whole way in android, it's a pain, but you can do it.

1024*768 works too, 1600x1200, etc.

When I set an image as wallpaper, I open it, hit menu. select "set as..." Then choose wallpaper. Now I get the image with a box, that I can drag and resize, and it doesnt stretch or whatso ever. Hope you understand what I mean ;)

Aha, yeah, I get ya.

Alright, what you need to do is tap. Just keep tapping. And when those little circles come up, drag.

You will get it. It might just take a while :)

Download photoshop from the market place and use that to set the wallpaper.I find it works better than using the software that comes on the phone.
