Guest Casper-vH Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Im using pauls custom rom 1.2 Firstly, syncing contacts and gmail works like a charm. In GMail I have multiple "My Calendars". Thereby I have a couple "Other Calendars" (as defined on the calendar internetpage). When I add an event in one of my calendars, it will sync seamesly to android. Also deleting and editing all works. My problem is when I add events on my android, they stay in Android, but they do not sync to desktop. Also deleting an instance from a series wont sync. Deleting normal events, editing events on android, that does all sync. I tried deleting application dat, but didn't help. I found several posts on the internet saying, that you have to chose the right calendar, so I thought, maybe it only syncs if I make an event for my main calendar. But that didn't help. Sounds familiar? Does anybody has a solution? This was one of my reasons to buy an Android device...
Guest topspinserve Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Hi, I too have a similar and puzzling problem: When I originally had my stock T mobile ROM, my calendar entries would sync from Google Calendar to my phone calendar. When I created new entries on my Pulse calendar, it didn't sync up to my Google Calendar. If I then follow up by "editing" (but in fact made no changes) the entry and saving it, the entry got synced to Google Calendar. The puzzle continues.. because after applying the December update and the MCR vanilla style, the calendar synced both ways. But, I was getting error messages about Android. process.acore. So frustrated with that, I wiped the data and ext3 partition and reinstalled MCR vanilla style. Now.. the Pulse works perfectly in every way, except that the sync problem has returned: New entries to Google Calendar appears on my Pulse, but new entries on my Pulse doesn't sync up unless I edit and then save it. Hmmm... What is going on? Ed
Guest Casper-vH Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 Awesome! Editing and saving indeed helps :) Hope someone will find a better solution though... You're my (hopefully) temporary hero ;)
Guest topspinserve Posted December 27, 2009 Report Posted December 27, 2009 "Hero"?? :) Pleased to offer my 1/2 satisfactory solution. But would be interested to hear if any of the many experts here can explain this strange phenomenon Ed
Guest Casper-vH Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 HELP Please! :) Anybody got a better solution?
Guest Dr Who Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) Just as an FYI, running December updated MCR T-Mob flavour with NO ext partition (to get over the apps2sd market problem) and I have 3 calendars under My Calendars in gmail and events are syncing both ways on first adding them, i.e. no need to edit and save. Don't know what it means but thought I would share. EDIT - Boo, probably spoke too soon. Calendar events created in gmail show up twice, once after I enter them and then shortly afterwards they seem to get synced back from the phone back to gmail. They don't then seem to go BACK to the phone, which is nice. Bit concerned what will happen when I use Outlook which syncs with gmail via the google sync tool. Guess we will find out. EDIT 2 - Even weirder, the additional events have now disappeared again....... Edited December 29, 2009 by Dr Who
Guest topspinserve Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 I have done more experimenting... As I create a new event, if I add a reminder, it gets synced to Google Calendar automatically ;) . Problem is, most of the time, I don't want a reminder :) .

Ah, I always add reminders so perhaps that is the thing.
