file location and placement and installation

lets say i found a rom i like but is lacking a few minor things that id like it to have, how or where would i put them? i have one .wgt file and a whole mess of .tsk files but where do they go and does it make a difference?

not shure about wgt. but tsk's are themes that go to any root (/, /windows, /mystorage, /stroragecard) and you select them in options->today(home)
