Guest tasomaniac Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 I am using Modaco 3.0. I formatted all the things, and at first the available storage space was like 130MB. I'm sure that programs are installed onto SD Card. Because I formatted it and all the apps were gone. But my internal storage keeps decreasing. What is the problem? Are there anyone that has this problem? I think the temporary files are being kept. How can I access them?

Basically, your internal storage will still decrease even when using apps2sd. This is because the dalvik-cache is stored in /data, as are various data files used by certain apps. I use apps2sd and am down to just under 30MB free with around 100 apps installed. Edited December 28, 2009 by Dan Mullen
Guest clarkEEE1 Posted December 28, 2009 Report Posted December 28, 2009 And stuff like album/browser cache take up alot of internal memory clear every so often or you end up with hundreds of album thumbs stored on your internal memory. Read the forum there are loads of tips to clear space etc.

Guest starfarer Posted December 29, 2009 Report Posted December 29, 2009 still learning android system....and now this cache??? :) so a few questions ;) 1) Do I need to worry about all caches in first place? 2) How do I check current cache usage? 3) Using apps2SD and probably working. My internal free memory reports 72MB. 4) On googling came across a thread of moving cache to SD card. Advantages and disadvantages? 5) Android default action on cache? cheers.
