Poor GPS connection

Hi

Few hours ago I went for a ride on my bike, suddenly I decided to try Googlemaps with GPS to find my location, then I realized it took for ever to connect through GPS....eventualy it didn´t work and I just closed the app.

As a comparison, I loaded Mavercik and in a matter of seconds I got my exact position.

Any idea why it is soooo slow in google maps?

Should I unisntall Mavercik?

Is there any setting I´m missing?

My earlier HTC HD took some time to hook to GPS but I thoguht my new HTC Hero would be faster..so as you can see I´m a bit dissappointed...

PS By the way....I was listening to music through the standard hero app and sometimes the next song took a while to start....after a break...is the Hero so laggy?...pffffff
