Guest yatpeak Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I was reading a few days ago about an SPV emulator. Is this an emulator that you can put on to your PC and use to test programs for the SPV? If not, what is it, and where can I get it? Thanks, Wyatt
Guest Big Ron - No Longer a Mem Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Funny you should ask that... I've just discovered that Windows NT was developed with the idea of systems based around a new Intel processor (the arrival of which was continually delayed) as its main market. I'd always thought that "NT" stod for "New Technology". Maybe these days it does... but the emulator they used to test it was the "N-Ten"., and that's where the (originally unofficial) name came from. Totally irrelevant, but kind of interesting.
Guest rcraswell Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Yes, there's a Smartphone emulator that comes with the Microsoft Smartphone SDK. You have to compile your programs to x86 to run on it, but eVC handles all the details for you. --ron
Guest xanadu Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 I heard there is an SPV emulator for the NOKIA 7650. When you run the emulator, it runs the battery flat ;)
