Speech recognition/voice search

I need the speech recognition engine to enable a translator app (for my holidays). But I can't find it on the market - is this a country thing (UK) or an Android version thing? Is there any way I can get the app for my Pulse?

If you mean google voice search then it isnt on the market for some reason but there are plenty of places you can download it...however 'll save you the trouble now and tell you that it doesn't work on the pulse on any rom .
