Wifi Help

My wifi doesn't seem to work,

I have turned on my wifi, and i have connected it to my wireless router,

since my wifi is turned on, and is connected on my phone, i should beable to surf the internet right

so in order to surf the internet, i went onto application internet explorer, and typed in www.google.com into the URL

then i recieve the message, cannot cannot, the connection has been ended, to change your connection settings, tap settings

i tapped settings, it come on connections of MY ISP (add a new modem connection) and MY work network (add a new modem connection/add a new vpn sever connection/set up my proxy server)

but im using WIFI to surf the net, and already connected the phone to my wireless router, it seems a bit wierd

perhaps im doing something wrong, and one off you experienced omnia user's out there could correct me or suggest any possbile solutions

i would appreciate it, if any one could help me ressolve this problem, thanks for support :)

it happened to me for 3 custom roms but i only found out how to resolve it on the last rom.

just change your data operator to another one (Settings -> Connections -> Operator Settings). Then use NoData to disable the wap/gprs/mms settings to be on the safe side. Note that this has nothing to do with changing service provider, your phone will still receive calls/sms through your own service provider.

Under Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Tasks, there should be a "My Internet" and "My Work Network" labels.

Try surfing on your wi-fi again. It should be able to work.

The same problem, but couldn't save it up. The problem consists. Any other sugestion. The problem is for shure settings of the phone, but don't know where to seek. Till 2 days ago everything worked perfectly and than at once ... nothing. And I didn't change any settings - STRANGE?!

I should something do with those to labels "My Internet" and "My Work Network" you are mentioning?

HELP NEEDED!

Hi there, I always use the attached file "fixwifi.reg" every time I flash to another rom with the wifi/activesync connections dead..

It is a .reg so you need to have the appropriate sw to run it. I use resco explorer with the registry application..

I hope this will help you all with wifi connection problems.. :huh:
