Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 The wiki page is available on the MoDaCo Wiki.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Can someone please make this "sticky"?
Guest Paul Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Done! Funny really, I was considering phasing out the wiki due to lack of use! P
Guest gamer9 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Done! Funny really, I was considering phasing out the wiki due to lack of use! P This to me is exactly what i needed lol! I dont understand most of this technical talk on the forums and it helps quite a bit. Although im still confused about some things. Thx

Guest JingleManSweep Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Done! Funny really, I was considering phasing out the wiki due to lack of use! P No, it is a good resource. What you should do is to get more people to use it, by referring them to it instead of answering the same old questions in the forum over and over again (and that includes my stupid questions too). Since I started the page, loads of useful stuff that I didn't know has been added.

Thats exactly what is needed because at the moment it is very confusing for me to install the custom vanilla rom. I still dont know wether I have to root the phone after or will it be rooted automatically when installing the rom? Thx

I want to try the branded MoDaCo mod, but still a bit cloudy how can i back up what i have now. I'll read and get wiser :) Edit1: I've made a howto for the MDC T-mobile update. Check it out! Comments welcome. Edited January 1, 2010 by David Horvath
Guest seybrew Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 The statement under 'Rooting' on the Wiki page. "The current rooting procedure does not work after applying the "December Update" (detailed below). I would like to know the following, 1. If the above comment is still valid? 2. Is the Wiki page being review & updated?

Is the Wiki page being review & updated? No that's incorrect, all new custom roms are for phones with the december update and will therefore root them once installed/flashed. If you want to root a phone without installing/flashing a custom rom just look at the superboot sticky by Paul in this forum. :) Edited January 9, 2010 by starkos
Guest sewa0505 Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 This is way too awesome. Following the U8220 MCR thread is getting really hard. The wiki is just what I need.
Guest twrock Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 This is way too awesome. Following the U8220 MCR thread is getting really hard. The wiki is just what I need. Agreed completely; please keep the Wiki. Incidentally, is it up-to-date?
Guest JingleManSweep Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Agreed completely; please keep the Wiki. Incidentally, is it up-to-date? I think so. I updated it recently with a few minor changes. The basic ROM/Recovery flashing processes haven't really changed for a while. If you do notice something is wrong, please feel free to add/update.
Guest jeddy1 Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 hey paul i hope this is coming to you! cant you find the rom of t-mobile pulse mini and fix it for t-mobile pulse(u8220)?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 hey paul i hope this is coming to you! cant you find the rom of t-mobile pulse mini and fix it for t-mobile pulse(u8220)? That's not possible until we get the 2.6.29+ kernel source for our device. Android 2.X requires this kernel at a minimum, and that's why it wouldn't work just to flash the ROM onto our device. Either we have to wait until this kernel gets released officially - and I guess we would get it with Android 2.1 - or we have to port it ourselves. Greetings, BigBear
Guest jeddy1 Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) so whats better for the pulse now? i have 1.7 modaco custom rom of pulse.i liked the vanilla also but i think this is better. i get a mail from huawei which its saying android 2.0/2.1 will release in few months. Guest dodge-167 Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 You forgot to put Croatia into "Sightings" i think...
Guest Alsajosora Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Added APN settings for O2 UK contract and pay as you go.. :P
Guest Ashbeard Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 I think it would be worth adding the battery type is HB4F1 so people can search for them on ebay. If you search for this you will also find a desktop charger that you can use if the USB port is broken.
Guest Willz Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Just so you know, if you want to add it to the wiki, the settings for o2 mobile web could be wrong. They haven't been working for me, but oigigi found this link with different settings, and they worked right away. Link is here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/andr...13ae1&hl=en
Guest huawei8220 Posted February 10, 2011 Report Posted February 10, 2011 Hi, could anyone please update the WIKI? Meanwhile - since November 2010 - an official GERMAN update to 2.1 is aviable on www.t-mobile.de http://www.t-mobile.de/fremdcontent/1,2790,137859,00.html THX Frank
