WiFi connectivity problem

Hello!

I have this problem- after do wake my Hero up on desktop and try to load some web page, the phone shows "Web page not available", and when I click on the shown link for the same page below this label "Web page not..."- everything is back to normal till next time when phone goes to sleep mode..

Any ideas?

Wifi turns off when the phone goes to sleep. When you wake it back up it'll take 3-4 seconds for DHCP to assign an IP address etc, so you could always just hold back a few more seconds before trying to access a page.

Alternatively, try turning off the 'wifi off on sleep', either in your Wireless settings (in the advanced bit), or download KeepWifi from the market which seems to be a more reliable way of doing it. Your battery life will suffer though, as your wifi will be on all the time.

Personally, I've got Locale set up with the KeepWifi plugin, so my wifi stays on only when my phone is on charge - good for syncing up Spotify and RSS feeds overnight. When I'm out and about it reverts back to going into sleep when the screen is off.
