HELP WITH RADIO INSTALL

I am trying to install the latest radio,I already tried copying it to the SD and renaming it RADIO, when I try opening it up with a file manager,it gives an error, I also tried booting, after holding the home and power button. But it the radio doesn't show up,By the way I been hearing about people bricking there hero while updating there radio, I am using a unlocked HTC HERO using a AT&T sim card..,

Hi there ,

When i come to update radio i just copy zip file direct to sdcard (not in any other folder) then i boot in recovery (as per Pauls MCR release post) choose update via choice then i select the radio file ,,

do a nandroid backup 1st tho incace it all goes wrong then you can roll back.
