Guest saquib Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Endgadget just posted a video of the Nexus running the Neocore benchmark. Benchmark details If you look at 1:06 on the video, you'll see the see the rating as 26.7 FPS. Just downloaded the Neocore application from the Market to see how the Liquid rates, ran the bench mark and got 33.9 FPS! Download the application and try youselves. Guest AcerDroid Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Ya actually when I first saw that benchmark on the nexus, i recalled that I got 33 fps on my Liquid ;) I think having the same CPU with ours unlocked is a bit mystery :)
Guest lucian785 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 On my Liquid the test is looping, it does not stop. what can i do?
Guest saquib Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) Did you run Benchmark or Interactive ? Should only run for under 1 and half minutes. Press back button to terminate. On my Liquid the test is looping, it does not stop. what can i do? Edited December 31, 2009 by saquib
Guest lucian785 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Did you run Benchmark or Interactive ? Should only run for under 1 and half minutes. Press back button to terminate. the problem was the touchscreen, this time i've pushed the button a little bit higher and it worked.

Guest lucian785 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) I think the difference is in the rom version...well done batista. How is 1.004.00-EMEA-GEN1? So we dont need the nexus phone, we only need the rom from it! :) Edited December 31, 2009 by awarner (MVP)
Guest saquib Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Great stuff. Can you actually go the Nexus youtube video and post yours as a response (use the post a response option) ? Thanks. Guest Charlton22 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I also got 33.9FPS! I'm wondering why the nexus is that slow compared to the liquid! We could install Nexus Roms on our Liquids? Would it perform faster? Would it be compatible 100%?

Guest saquib Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 I've had plent of HTC phones before (as the Nexus is). There has always been gripes with their graphics performance, mainly due to drivers issue. Not sure if that is the case here as well ? I also got 33.9FPS! Guest Rocky7 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Makes you wonder if that nexus rating is right as the Magic does 26.8FPS
Guest Oskaar Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Makes you wonder if that nexus rating is right as the Magic does 26.8FPS But the nexus has what, like about the double amount of pixels :) I tought it would be better tough, but now I've even more happier with my Liquid! ;)

Guest AcerDroid Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Its 854x480(NexusOne) vs 800x480(Liquid)
Guest drigerott Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 double???? NexusOne is 854x480 Acer liquid is 800X480 But the nexus has what, like about the double amount of pixels :) I tought it would be better tough, but now I've even more happier with my Liquid! ;)
Guest AcerDroid Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 Yup, our Liquid is WVGA standard 800x480 and Nexus One is just like Motorola Droid which is a wider VGA 854x480 see http://blogs.howstuffworks.com/2009/12/24/...pressive-phone/
Guest Rocky7 Posted December 31, 2009 Report Posted December 31, 2009 double???? NexusOne is 854x480 Acer liquid is 800X480 compared to the htc magic video I posted
Guest hdubli Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 compared to the htc magic video I posted mine is 33.4 fps in test of open gl :)
Guest three_pineapples Posted January 1, 2010 Report Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) i got 34fps too on 1.002.05 I think maybe its an openGL problem on 2.1? Maybe google will fix it for release. Cause really the liquid should be slower :) That being said, i thought i saw a rumour somwhere that the nexus one would be underclocked to 628MHz making it slower than the liquid. That would explain the crap benchmark. Or possibly the handsets they handed out to employees were underclocked for testing reasons...?? Edited January 1, 2010 by three_pineapples
