Can i install custom rom with the phone attached to pc? - i have no micro sd adapter

I have my pulse and would like to install the custom vanilla rom so that it can run more smoothly. However i do not have a micro sd card adapter so i cannot insert the micro sd card into my laptop memory card reader. So I was wondering is there a way I can install the custom rom onto my pulse by having the pulse connected to my laptop via the USB cable?

Yeah, it works perfectly, just mount it in Android, that's how I did it!

Thx for the quick reply! Sorry but i dont know how to mount it in android, could you please tell me? Also does this mean I can "mount" it and install the December update too this way?

alright, have the sd card in.

plug it in to the computer.

drag down the top bar then click "USB Connected" and then "Mount"

You mean the top bar on the phone? As in the notifications bar? So I would be able to install the December update and the custom rom since its been mounted?

yeah, If I remember you just put the file on, and it's basically just like a micro SD card reader, when it's in that mode.

Ok, one last question -when i install the custom rom will I have to delete anything of the SC card or create these "ext 1/2/3" partitions? I dont know what they even are for but have seen them discussed on the forums.

Don't worry about those, just leave them alone, don't delete any thing :)
