Big Problem! Omnia won't turn on after DXHJ1 update :(

I installed DXHJ1 over DXHI3 using the exe file (not grandprix) it all went well during the instalation until it said job done. then the phone attempted to auto restart and it just got stucked with the black sreen and the turn on boton light red, that's all, nothing on the screen and nothong I touch responds. I removed the battery several times, waited out and still the same results.

Active Sinc doesn't recognize the phone at all, and grandprix only gets to enable the "detect" botton when I connect the phone, but it nevers gets to enable the "download" botton it gets stucked on "waiting for the phone" part for ever.

Any ideas???? is there anything else I can try before I bring it to samsung service center where they will charge me big time for the fix?

Hi, I am in the same situation here, blank-dark screen (no Omnia logo! As others seem to think that is the same, when red light led mentioned but not paying attention to a no -Samsung logo on screen)

only RED LIGHT-led is on. No connection can be established between the Omnia and Active Sync to reflash rom.

Have not tried Grandprix yet, but have tried Wincontrol (Emergency mode) option - no luck there either…

Anybody out there with some knowledge of what other methods to try, would be much appreciated.

Have been reading forums and the JTAG ($280) repair Omnia-Samsung box is mentioned, but too expensive, and I guess need to have some insight knowledge of how to use that box…

i didnt use grand prix method

to flash a i900v

its now a nice paperwieght will take to mobile phone shops on monday hopefully
