[SOLVED] Physical Azerty Keyboard types Qwerty

Hi,

I have done a rom upgrade to the latest sec rom ( 23.Dec.09 )

but now my keyboard types QWERTY instead of AZERTY.

B7610XEFIK4.csc --> france, then select the language.

flash with french ROM :)

you can try to change local settings for french, but this rather won't help

registry editing seems to be more reasonable, ther's a key responsible for physical keyboard. Don't remember exactly where.

If I flash to french it still types qwerty, but the onscreen keyboard changed to azerty.

I know it should be somewhere in the registry... but I really can't find it.

did you flash CSC or leaved it original?

First I flashed with the CSC from sec. but is was O2 branded.

then I flashed with CSC: B7610XENIK4

could someone with an azerty KB do a full export of there hklm & hkcu reg plz ?

I will compare them to find out how to get the azerty back.

I have no certainty, open the txt in Windows XT9.Samsung.B7610.Keyboard.English.kmap.txt make changes to the azerty and then copy it into your mobile. course keep a copy of the original.

Maybe you could try this:

after you have selected the CSC file in Octans you can select the language and the CSC File Select. Try selecting the B7610XEFIK4.CSC. When I do that the default language will be set to French. You can then select an other language if you want. If I'm correct you will have the French CSC on your phone after flashing, with the selected language.

I've discovered this after I had flasched serveral times with B7610FOPIK4.CSC, after which my keyboard lost the ? and the composer button.

I hope you understand mine explanation.

If none wants to help you out, you can always try the WinMo emulator from MS :)

I compared the registry completly, nothing!

the difference probably is another dll driver.

My language is dutch :-)

problem is there are 2 countries that speaks Dutch.

Belgium & Holland.

belgium: azerty

holland: qwerty

So If I follow your guide in post 21, I still end up with qwerty.

CSC must be french, then change language to dutch.
